What is EVA Air Online Service
EVA Air is a fantastic airline with one of my favorite business classes but unfortunately they have a super outdated, and annoying process associated with their frequent flyer program: Infinity MileageLands.
All Infinity MileageLands accounts are semi restricted when you sign up, meaning that not all of the functionality is available to be performed online. This includes key features like transferring miles to another Infinity MileageLands member by adding nominees to your account.

Why I Wanted to Activate EVA Air Online Service
The reason I wanted to activate EVA Air online service was so that I could transfer miles from my family members’ accounts into a single account and pool them together. We had miles in separate accounts because using the Citi Rewards+ 10% redemption perk, we could transfer 75,000 Citi TYP (enough for a one way business class ticket to Asia) to EVA Air Infinity MileageLands and get 7,500 miles back as a rebate. This essentially lets us book EVA Air business class from the US west coast to Asia for 67,500 miles. What a steal!

How To Activate EVA Air Online Service
You first need to go to this page and download the online service activation form. It’s a word document that you’ll need to fill out with your name, Infinity MileageLands number, and marking your consent to activate the online service.
Then you need to deliver that form to Infinity MileageLands somehow either through fax, mail, or email. The easiest thing to do is email [email protected].
If all goes well, you’ll get contacted back by Infinity MileageLands that the form was accepted then the last thing you have to do is login to your account and confirm the activation.

Difficulties Activating EVA Air Online Service
The steps above seem pretty straightforward right? Unfortunately, the actual process was surprisingly unintuitive and turned out to be a bigger pain than I anticipated. Here’s some of the big pain points
- There’s no way to activate the online service yourself. You MUST contact Infinity MileageLands to do it for you.
- The recommended way to contact them is FAX. In 2025, not allowing the feature to be done online and proposing customers fax something to you is extremely surprising.
- There’s no public email listed on the website to email the form to
- I would send the email during US daytime hours and would never hear back from the Infinity MileageLands office
- I even tried other emails like [email protected] and didn’t get a reply
- Didn’t get a reply faxing in my form during US daytime hours
- Calling the LA office just gave me an automated message that said to look online
Tips For Activating EVA Air Online Service
After going through this ordeal and finally getting the online service activated, here are my tips for making this as painless as possible.
- Have existing miles in your account that ARE NOT the initial 1000 that come from signing up. If you don’t do this, EVA Air will reject your form saying you need some miles in your account for security verification purposes
- Transferring in 1000 miles from C1 or Citi is the easiest way to do this
- Send the email during Taiwan working hours. This would be night time in the US after 6PM
- I sent my email at 9PM and received a response at 11:30PM

Conclusion
EVA Air is a great airline but man does their online service process suck. They really need to make this more self service or at least make it so that we can get this activated easily through email.
